Ashleigh resides in Epekwitk where they ponder the webs that weave this strange, collective existence. Ashleigh seeks every opportunity to find & engage with community through writing & art making in various forms. Ashleigh began sharing their work in 2024, releasing her debut poetry collection But the Heart has its Seasons, in 2025. Ashleigh was named one of three finalists for Charlottetown Arts & Culture Awards, 2026 Emerging Artist of the Year. Talking From Experiences, is Ashleighs monthly column in arts & culture publication, The Buzz. Life is made of seasons. The natural rhythms dictated by a land's geography and the natural shifts of our bodies and minds through time. Ashleigh Tremere’s first poetry collection intertwines these concepts as one. Rooted in a love of Prince Edward Island’s distinct seasonal changes and seeking to appreciate life in the same lens. 52 poems for a year and a life so far. Four seasons in stillness, growth, abundance, rest, and all around it a unique reflection on the seemingly common webs that tie us together.
